ECONOMIC BENEFITS FOR THE CITY OF SANTEE

A steady stream of revenue for Santee can provide much-needed support for important public services like police, fire fighters and education.

$132 MILLION TO BENEFIT THE COMMUNITY

Through impact fees and planned improvements alone, Fanita Ranch will contribute more than $132 million by the time the project is complete.

That figure does not include the recurring revenues the city will collect through property taxes and other recurring payments. Of course, Fanita Ranch will require additional public services, such as police, fire and education.

Yet fiscal impact analysis shows that when city expenditures are stacked against new revenue from Fanita Ranch, Santee will have a net annual budget surplus of nearly $3 million once Fanita Ranch is complete.

FANITA RANCH IMPACT FEES & IMPROVEMENTS

Development plans for Fanita Ranch estimate a new total of more than $132 million in additional benefits for the City of Santee.

All of the additional benefit would be realized in multiple infrastructure categories including parks, public facilities, traffic mitigation, schools and infrastructure improvements. These fees would not be available to the city should Fanita Ranch not be approved.”
